Re: JG Workout Log

Bringing my old CF journal back. Not really a fan of BTWB.

After a multi year lay-off, I started following 531 last year and found my way back to CF. Been going @ 5 AM 4-5 X a week since May.

10...

Re: eating on patrol

Greg Amundson wrote a great piece in the CFJ a couple years ago on how he follows the zone diet while on patrol.

Whether or not you zone, might be helpful. Pretty basic...

Re: feel terrible on paleo

When the carb jones hits me, I usually back off on the fruit and sweet potatoes. Leafy green veggies, meat and healthy fats like avocado or EVOO. Hunger and the cravings tend to go away when I'm...

Re: feel terrible on paleo

I really don't have much to add, but when I saw you were from Goshen, I had to chime in. Hardly ever see someone from my neck of the woods.

I know 9 days can seem like forever, but everyone is...

Re: 8 reasons carbs help you lose weight

I kept reading the article and expecting some sort of "early April Fools" or something.

Reading people's comments after the article is the best part. Yep. 360 grams of carbs/day, a pedometer and...

Re: 200 burpees in a dress in the Walmart parking lot

Cracked me up. Best part is how the whole funny / comedy aspect quickly washes away when you realize you have to do 200 freaking burpees.

Great stuff man!

Re: "Cheat" Meal

I thought chocolate peanut butter ice cream was paleo.

Pretty sure Pat Sherwood confirmed this in his epic zone chronicle on cheating.

Re: Thoughts on 2010 Individual Events?

There was also a great commercial for CrossFit. It was like a short film done in black and white. Shot mostly at an affiliate. Couldn't tell where though. Tried searching you tube and came up...

Re: Thoughts on 2010 Individual Events?

Couple moments really stood out for me..

Annie on the sandbag WOD. She can simply get work done.

Lindsey Smith almost completing the final WOD. She pushed thru on sheer will. Her burpees were...

Re: 1-10 1-20 1-30

This WOD took me about 45 minutes. Took plenty of rest, but managed to set a 1RM PR on the second 1RM.

Just be safe with those high rep deadlifts. If you're not sure, go lighter.

If anyone says screw it and goes on any way, please post the SWOD and DWOD.

Re: Cooking scrambled eggs in a Stainless Steel Pan?

Re: Some Diet Questions...

Dude, I think any time you are referring to the amount of meat you consume in a meal in pounds, then you're getting sufficient calories.

That's a ton of food daily. Looks to me like you are way...
