Re: SO Frustrated

That's a great way to put it. I am definitely in limbo, and I do feel like I don't belong. I feel ridiculous just showing up. And there are aspects of it that are digging up old wounds from grade...

SO Frustrated

I know the standard answer is "crossfit is for everyone" But I'm starting to disagree. I'm in my first post on-ramp month. It's not going well. I've been sick too, but still...

Re: What to do when advice from box coaches differs?

I definitely considered the possibility that both could have a point.

What to do when advice from box coaches differs?

I finally joined a box just over a month ago. I'd been holding back because I knew that I can't squat and, since the squat is needed for so much, I figured why spend the money? I don't recall ever...

Re: Hiking a mountain with a kettlebell in a backpack?

Maybe that's what camping with YOUR wife is like. Please don't put all women into the same high maintenance category. There are a lot of us who do fine camping as you indicate in the first sentence.

Re: Crossfit and recovery after traumatic injury

Don't ever listen to doctors when they tell you that you won't ever do "x" again. I should know, I am one. We pretty much have to paint the worst possible picture. The risk of being sued if I tell...

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

This just triggered a flashback to one of my most nightmarish gym experiences involving pushups. It must have been first or second grade and for reasons I don't remember the boys and girls had gym...

Re: fitness and the generation gap

Re: Just started 4 weeks ago

Thank you for posting this! Your story is much more inspiring for the "average" American than the stories of former athletes who come to cross fit.

I love the way you phrased it- an evolution of a...

Trouble with Air squat

So I'm starting to work on learning basic movements on my own. After reading in many places how important the air squat is, I realize it's time to tackle a long time nemesis. I have never been able...

Re: Too much $$$

Thanks!

I had thought of just staying put but the current gym doesn't have stuff like the rings and gymnastics type items. Obviously, I have a lot to learn, and I'm not sure how critical these...

Job requires regular travel: how to incorporate cross fit?

I'm considering starting cross fit. I'm finding the concept to be very appealing.

One big issue for me is that I travel a lot for my job. It's not unusual for me to be in some random city or town...
