I think the pursuit of strength as a base is a great idea for sure. But you'd be missing out on years of technical practice if you just worked on strength to the exclusion of the snatch and C&J. ...

Nowhere does it link what she did to the ACSMs guidelines. How do you know she was aware of them at all?

It's a really hard question to answer because there's almost no way to test it that doesn't slant toward one's specialization.

I personally do think the upper body strength of a high level gymnast...
