An Angry Diet For Angry People

You know what, I'm angry right now. I'm angry because I pretty much broke my arm last Saturday, and I'm angry because today I wiped out on my bike and now am missing half of my knee skin and my bike is broken so I have to go fix it, I'm angry because this all means I can't train, I'm angry because college is slowly de-railing my training habits, my eating habits, my sleeping habits, and giving me a drinking habit. I'm angry because I want those things back. (minus the drinking habit) I'm ready to be brutal. And that brutality is going to be the Velocity Diet.

This here will be my log.

I have my protein powder (Syntrax Matrix 5.0) and fish oil (Origin) already, I just need to get milled flax seeds tomorrow. No Surge or Hot Rox for me though. I start Saturday.

Goals:
Lose 10-15 lbs
Drop to < 19% BF
Stop drinking
Sleep > 8 hours a day
Learn discipline
Regain my motivation

Current Stats:
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 164.6 lbs
BF: 24%

During this I'll have throwing practice once I can walk properly again, and lift heavy 2-3x a week.

Bonny you sound scary in your post. Are you ok? Is the arm ok? How's the knee? :|

Ya Baby.

Great threads on T Nation and PM, I'm sure you've read them.

This is more a mental exercise then physical.

Stay tough, as you won't get much encouragement from your friends, BUT, massive support from the CF community.

Bonny, sorry to hear about your recent injuries. Much respect for your attitude about changing habits though -- way to be intense about it! I think we all need to renew our focus every once in a while. Good luck on your journey!

Don't forget to take your vitamin C - most people get sick to some degree in their second or third week.
Good luck! The V-Diet is FUN, a great mental break to someone who tends to worry about their diet daily.

my roommate went on teh velocity diet. it was hard. he lost a lot of weight and showed in his muscles but he made sure to properly nourish his body and still kept exercise to not break down his muscles so quickly. this will unfortunately do some breaking down to your muscles because you're not properly feeding them. i wish you luck! it's a totally possible goal, i just hope you prepare prepare prepare for it. gd luck!

Re: An Angry Diet For Angry People

Anger is a fantastic motivator, and I like that you're channeling it this way. I've been very angry myself for the past month or so, following several injuries and a very nasty breakup which has unfortunately hit me pretty hard financially as well. Once I got angry at all of that, I re-focused on the diet, workouts, etc. Re-started living "hard", and its really worked wonders so far.

Good luck, man. Embrace the hatred!
