How to get in contact with Dr. Gavid Dejour
Sorry, should be David Dejour.
I need help. I have a problem with me knees/legs that has been posted about numerous times. Doctors and PT's in this country are either unable and unwilling to help me. I was however referred to a doctor in France. I guess in Europe the have approach alignment issues from the bone side rather than soft tissue. I think this may be my salvation, but I don't speak/read French and can't find anyway to contact this guy or his office. Anyone have any idea how to do this? |

But there is an Orthopedic surgeon that posts on here also, that may be able to address the issue. I haven't seen your previous posts. What is the issue? The knee alignment is the bone alignment of the entire leg from pelvis to the ankle, with respect to the the mechanical and anatomic axis. this may help explain: http://www.orthobullets.com/recon/50...ignment-in-tka |

I suppose I could have googled how to call a French number. I actually found that site before you posted it but just got frustrated because it didn't seem to help, and I went to the site for his clinic and it was all in french with no way to change to english. |

Or better, how to find a doctor and therapist in this country who will actually pay attention to what I say and take it seriously?

Re: How to get in contact with Dr. Gavid Dejour
I am no physician by any means. I do have a good understanding of bones and orthopedics. I have been selling orthopedic devices for 7 years ranging from total joint replacements for knee, hip, shoulder, and ankle, to fracture plates and screws.
How old are you? and how long has this been a problem? Have you had standing weight bearing X-rays or MRI's down? What parts of your legs feel normal, and what parts feel abnormal? when you say upper and lower? Does your femur feel normal at your hip? does your femur feel normal at your knee? does your tibia feel normal at your knee? does tibia feel normal at your ankle? how does your foot feel? here are some of the top places for orthopedics that may help to contact if you havent already: http://www.rothmaninstitute.com/physicians http://www.hss.edu/biomechanics.asp#.Uz4pAqIrxe4 http://www.inova.org/healthcare-serv...arch/index.jsp |

Upper and lower legs feel out of alignment, leading to the muscles not functioning properly. Both my quads and calves feel dead in a sense. Like parts of them never contract properly. Feels like my femur needs to rotate inward to be in a normal position, but if I do this my entire lower leg is splayed out to the side and forward. This being the root abnormality is the only thing that explains all of my symptoms. But surgery should be a last option or a problem that did not originate via an acute injury. If the problem is the result of posture, or consistent stress on the bones, a reversal with overcompensation should fix it. |

Re: How to get in contact with Dr. Gavid Dejour
in no sense or form was i suggesting joint replacements.
Your problem sounds to me more Biomechanics, muscle weaknesses and imbalances. I would find a Orthopedic doctor that is an expert is sports biomecachanics and have them work with a very good Physical therapist that understands Kinesiology. Your problem would be well suited for a University setting team to try to uncover the cause |
