Re: The Outlaw Way

Gorky first Muscle-Up Today! Super Pumped. It was the last gymnastics movement I had left to obtain as far as necessary CrossFit Skills go. Not sure how to contain myself!

Re: The Outlaw Way

So apparently if you take 6 months off crossfit and then only 3 weeks back in you do Diane your time pretty much doubles.

My legs have already grown half an inch on Smolov Jr.

Here's to Outlaw and the long road back.

It won't take long for you to get the strength endurance and conditioning back. I'm sure you know that though.

Jordan,

What's been up the past 6 months? Diane is not my friend...My shoulders gas out on the HSPU's something awful.

10x3 today. Went much better than the 8x4 which was strange...will try to add 10 pounds to all of next week's programming like this past week.

Re: The Outlaw Way

Glenn, I had been living off the charity of a friend whose equipment I was using in my garage. In January he took it back. My roommate had collected about 300 pounds of Canadian tire weights and we had a steel pole, some adjustable dumbbells and a pair of rings. I had always wanted to take a break and try something different so I made the most of it and followed Texas Method to get stronger and bigger. It worked for the most part and then I bought all my own equipment with money I had saved, took a 3 week break (bad idea) and got back on outlaw.

Canadian tire weights made it impossible to Olympic lift, I tried and actually put a nice curve in the metal pipe we were using. For Fridays I'd just stop in the local globo for heavy squats and deads. I made some serious gains but the 3 week break basically brought me back to where I started from.

Live and learn I guess.

Re: The Outlaw Way

Understood. I'm sure it will all come back quickly...not familiar with Texas method.

No doubt. Excited to see what shakes out. One guy already posted a 70lb increase which obviously will be on the high end. I looked back to see what he had been squatting though and he never posted before.

I'm hoping to break 400. I'd be ecstatic.
