What Do (Or Would) You Drive?

I was talking with my trainer last night, and we discovered that we're both big fans of "Top Gear", and, of course, gearheads.

So, in the vein of the "What Are You Reading?" Thread, I'm curious as to what everyone is driving... or, if you're like me and having a tough financial time of it, what would you be driving if you had your choice?

Up until three months ago I had a 2005 Subaru Impreza STi (one step up from the WRX). Brilliant driver's car; propulsive, loads and loads of grip, plus it was about as obnoxious and aggressive looking as a sub-supercar gets.

If I had my pick... well, if I really had my pick I'd probably have an Aston One-77, a Caterham Levante, a Morgan Aeromax, or an Ariel Atom.

My dream ride which is reasonably within my budget, possibly someday, is a Lotus Exige.

Sadly, what I'm tooling around in now is a '91 Mazda Prtotege with 260,000 miles on it, which I bought for $1000.00 ten years ago. Reliable and thoroughly boring.

My friends call it my Mazderati to mock my gearheadness.

So, what about y'all?

Cheers,
FD

Got a Mazda RX-8, which I bought back in 2004 brand new.

Loved it then, and still do - as good to drive as to look at.

Re: What Do (Or Would) You Drive?

3 Audis, another Lotus and the Wankel goodness of an RX.

Nice. It seems, unsurprisingly, CrossFitters expect as much out of the machine they drive as they do the machine they keep their brains in...

Driving an old Camry. It's paid for.

If I could afford it, I'd drive a new Supra!

It's a pity IH went under, they made one of the best ORVs the US has ever produced. Oh, yeah... and it slaughtered the economy of Ft. Wayne for years, until GM came and set up shop.

Oh, wait...

2006 Saturn Ion sans Air Conditioning (do you know how much more a car with it costs?! It's ridiculous!)

I'd love an Impreza STi though.
