is there any place that has all the challanges listed like the FAQ has "the girls"?

Are there any other "official" crossfit challanges, or are they only the ones that appear in the trophy case?

The Trophy case is a little outdated (at least it was last time I checked).

As far as I know they have not been categorized to date, let me try and summarize.

So far the 'Official Challenges' have been

40 pull ups
-Get your chin over the bar 40 times, full extension of the arms every rep, no letting go of the bar, no letting your feet touch.

Hand stand walk for 100'
-Walk on your hands 100 feet non stop without falling over.

15 overhead squat reps with your bodyweight for load
-Load a bar with enough weight to total (including bar) your body weight. Do 15 thighs below parallel (aka *** to ankles) overhead squats. 1 set, no breaks.

Rutman Mile
-load a bag with some bulk product (like sand), go at least a mile with it in less than 15 minutes. The bag should be picked up off the ground, no straps or handles can be used for the challenge. If you drop or set down the bag there is a 30 second time penatly.

Everyone can correct me if I am wrong.

'Unoffical Challenges'

Right now there are two 'Unofficial Challenges' I know of.

Eugene's Birthday Pull up challenge
-Do 50 pullups in one set on Eugene's 50th birthday, November 27, 2005. It does not count if you don't do them ON the actual day.

Eugene's Birthday Lsit challenge
-Do an 'L'sit for 90 consecutive seconds. It can be done on rings or parallel bars. I assume this must also be done on November 27th as well.

What are the rewards for completing such challenges. . . same as making a determined effort and failing - Superior fitness, and being better than you were before starting.

There is also skill development, character build up, and bragging rights (sometimes a t-shirt).

I have only completed one of the challenges listed above(the HSW), but I am a better person because of the attempts. Progress is progress.

The 'challenge' is the journey, not the ultimate destination. Just ask Bilbo and Frodo Baggins.

Whoops.

Yeah, the Rutman Challenge sandbag weight is supposed to be your bodyweight.

(stand on a scale, read weight = put sandbag on scale, read weight . . . they should be the same).
