Re: Painstorm - November '09

Kempie,

That's what I thought - and I definitely want to do it in a comparable fashion.

Thanks.

Re: Painstorm - November '09

Hi Larry
The exercise is done as per listed:
5 Deadlift - into
5 Hang Power Clean - into
5 Front Squats - into
5 Push Press - into
5 Back Squats

We allowed them to effectively do a thruster from the last front squat acting as their first push press.

Hope that clears it up. Enjoy the work out

Ron

Re: Painstorm - November '09

I knew this WOD would be something else, but I happened to really want to snatch yesterday so my dumb A$#
subbed (full) Snatches for Back Squats (wish I didn't )
Rowed/95lbs. -58.50 (I know its not the same)

Re: Painstorm - November '09

Chose the rowing option and completed as Rxed in 23:45 - smoothed through with a minimum of breaks

Complexes were 5/2,1,1/2,1/2/1
Rows were all 1:50 pace or less

Cheers, kempie

Re: Painstorm - November '09

I have been Crossfitting for a little over a year now, and this was my first "Painstorm." The fatigue factor seemed close to a filthy fifty or a murph. Just completely exhausted at the end.

Rower and 95lbs

30:08 could have been about a minute faster but I had to take a few seconds to set the rower on the correct distance.

great WOD!!

Thanks mate - TBH this played to my strengths pretty well although running the relatively short distances would not have messed me up that much more.

You having a pop?

Cheers, kempie

Yeah, now I'm back on solids. Continuing resting tomorrow, may hit it Sunday to get back into swing of things.

Note to self... painstorms shouldn't be done alone. Did a lot of bar yelling and looking around
