Just wanted to hear from those of you at the certification at HQ! I was there for the April cert and is was incredable.

Lauren, will you be posting a group pic of the cert class soon?

Now I feel bad for not coming down to take notes for all of you. Did anybody put any of this to paper to share with the rest of us?

Thank you! And thanks so much for all your encouragement and tips, too - it was a really great environment to work out in.

We are all still recovering! Rose and I went to class last night thinking we were all better and discovered everything still hurts! haha!

Becca, you can contact me and ask to have your account unsuspended. As you know, because you agreed to the Acceptable Use Policy, full real names are required on the board.

In a word: Awesome! I've been doing CF workouts on my own and at BrandX for about 3 months now and this was my first seminar. Even with PRs, I finished near the bottom of the pack on most of the group workouts. The cool thing was, it didn't matter.
This was a "sit back and soak it up" situation for me as opposed to "trainer training" but I still came away with at least a years worth of programming guidance and techniques for myself.

Many of the highpoints have already been hit but my recap would include:
1) Max's man-handling of that Inch Dumbell
2) MattG doing deadhang pullups for Frellon
3) A fellow male CFer commenting that there should be a law against Matt taking off his shirt.
4) Steve Seapker's Oly class, you can take the man out of the Corps, but you can't take the Corps out of the man! I couldn't help but laugh everytime he used a Marine-ism. (which is probably why he kept heckling me... uhm, I mean critiquing me)
5) Annie telling me my OHSs were pretty... that's a good thing right? Of course she also told me to stop tripping over my brain...
6) The back and forth between Dave Camarillo and John Hackleman during their Pit-Jitsu class was great and the bag drills after were a good way to finish up the weekend.
7) Of course, the cameraderie topped everything off. Breakfast at the Silver Spur and lunch at Willy's, sitting around the fire BS'ing on Saturday night, meeting Matt, Andy, Neal, Brian, Jason, Mike, Beth, Sam, Greg, Max, Bryce, Eddie, Lisa, Ahmik... uhm, Coach and the HQ crew, uhm... I think the oxygen deprivation affected my memory, the rest of you should have recovered enough from Frellon, Chelsea and FGB to remember your own names, even if I haven't.

I'll be back for more next summer!

Derek
