Re: Getting Stronger, Running Faster

Workout B

Squat 3x5 @ 275lbs
Press 3x5 @ 140lbs
Power Clean 5x3 @ 130lbs

Went to a gym on post as compared to the basement. They just got lifting platforms. Felt awesome to lift on them. Can't wait to get my weightlifting shoes on there to really hear the "pop" during the cleans.

I'm looking at my math, I might stall early. Those squats today about did me in. All math done off the 1 Reps from this past CFT so it is current. Will continue as prescribed, but may be going a week behind soon, let's hope not.

Don't worry about the math, if it is to heavy that day, then it is to heavy. The idea is to lift heavy as much as you can. Numbers are a guide line.

Workout A:

Squat 3x5 @ 275
Bench 3x5 @ 185
Dead 1x5 @ 315

Lost Friday due to driving to Ft Sill Oklahoma. Works out better that I am now on a Sun, Tues, Thurs schedule. This allows for run days not to be on the same day as a lift day. If lifting suffers from running I will ease back on the running. Going from more LSD to HIIT runs (CFE).

Re: Getting Stronger, Running Faster

Workout B

Squat 3x5 @ 280lbs
Press 3x5 @ 145lbs (1x5 and 2x3)
Power Clean 5x3 @ 135lbs

Stalled on the Press last two sets were for 3. Will reset and attempt again next week. Knew the shoulder would stall, but hoping not this soon. Will keep pressing 145 till it goes up 15 times in the workout.

Back felt ok, ATG on the squats. Form is more important to me then whether or not I can add that 5lbs each time. Squats are looking good, I love it.

Thanks Nik, I think it easier to get the old strength back as compared to building it all together. I miss this heavy liftin.
