Started today. Participant info is as follows:

name / sex / age / height / weight / fat / CF Total
AS / m / 26 / 6' 0" / 176 / 13% / 705
LP / m / 28 / 5' 8" / 202 / 18% / 600
MF / m / 25 / 5'10"/ 171 / 12% / 485
LC / m / - joining us on thurs -

Fat % was measured using both 3 point caliper method and an electric scale, then averaged. AS is a regular CF'r, the others haven't been training regularly and are new to deadlift, clean, and shoulder press.

Aaron, any chance we can get the Browns to Crossfit and SS in the off-season this year? Hopefully this would put them in the playoffs without waiting for someone to lose... cant wait to see the results, good luck man.

I am currently doing SS and I have noticed the gains. My old 5RM for squats was 225 and I started at 185 for the program and have been going up 5lbs each workout. I just hit 250 5x3 today and felt really strong. I also pulled 320x5 both of which are close to my old 1 RM. I just need to get my diet dialed in now (New Years resolution that I am actually going to stick with this year). I cant wait to test my CF total as well as my total for the 3 powerlifts after Im done w/ SS. So far so good though.

Im not drinking a gallon of milk a day but I am probably drinking about 32oz or so. And sometimes its 2% sometimes whole. Depends on whats on sale really

I was doing a sort of BB ME routine and I hit a plateu very early. I think it was because of a lack of rest, not enough nutrition and too many hard metcon WODs in between my strength work. Now Im doing SS (on non consecutive days) 3 days a week w/ 1 metcon style wod thrown in on the weekend. My #'s continue to go up and Im closing in on my old 1 RMs w/ my 3 sets of 5.

So I'm at 3/4 gallon today, going for a gallon tomorrow, but I'm not very hungry. I'm eating nuts, spinach, apples, and oat bran to make sure I get some sort of fiber. This will be interesting.

Milk is slightly basic I believe which neutralizes/dilutes stomach acid.. which obviously nullifies your hunger a bit. Also, higher fat content is more filling than carbs.
