75 pound Shoulder Press, 21 reps
21 Back extensions

I could BARELY do the 75 lb shoulder press, and it took a lot of stubbornness to gut it out, but I broke the shoulder presses into manageable sets. I couldn't even get the first set unbroken though, only was able to get 20 in a row.

Played basketball today...kicked some major ***.

Won 2 out of 3 pickup games against a pretty tough dude...lots of sprinting and stop and go action.

Probably around 40 minutes overall.

I would have liked the deadlifts to be a little higher, by my grip failed on my 315 attempt. Maybe next time!

I also think if I were a little heavier it would have been higher, as my bodyweight is going down a few pounds a week...148-9 right now.

Friday 080620

Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
65 pound Thruster, 10 reps
10 Pull-ups

I was feeling like crap this workout...and I got 8 rounds. I wasn't pleased with that.

Being the stubborn bastard I am, I tried the entire damn thing again a few hours later, and got 9 rounds.

I think I should have scaled the thrusters, I am around 150 body weight and figured I could do it...it killed me.

Oh and I have rips on both hands now...yay!

So were you really slowing down on the thrusters? Did you have to break them up or were they turning into slow front squat to press?

I had to sub this with 2x25 DB thrusters and while they did slow down from the first set, it was on the modified pullups that just ate time. In fact, it became more of a strength issue on the pullups and that slowed down, so that probably provided ample time to recover for the thrusters.

I was feeling pretty blah tonight as well.

Do you have problems with Fran's 95 pound thrusters or was it just today? This workout did not leave me as messed up as Fran usually does. Tomorrow will really tell.

Yeah, the thrusters killed me. I am a pull up machine and can do them for ages, so it was more the thrusters.

I normally scale fran to 75 pounds so I can't really compare the two...

er, I can do ON1 muscle up. i think it's my technique, so I subbed 3 pullups and 3 dips for time

I'm doing the dead hang variety of the muscle up. I think my technique may be awful as well
