I've been shopping some squat stands lately and can't afford vulcan racks. I'm almost set to go with the TDS based on one of your earlier posts. I see the TDS on the left in your pic, but what is the brand of the set on the right, and how do they compare??

Also, the gym is looking great!!!!

Sweet! I got some Eleiko bumpers too. Pricey, but oh-so, worth it.

Nice! Your gym at work is pretty cool too!

We missed you in Vista a few weeks ago at the USAW clinic.

The one on the right is from york. I got it several years ago on sale, i can't remember how much 175-200? The york rack is better... more stable, I also like the adjustable lower rack attachment. The TDS rack is good though, If I'm on a budget I go with that. Look up Allison foreman on this site. She is a york rep & gives discounts to crossfitters. see how much my rack is. On the york rack is a womens weightlifting bar, very good quality she gave me for 175.

Jeff... my bumper of choice is Mavrik but I have a bunch of those at work. When Elieko came out with a more affordable training plate my fetish for bumper plates took over & I had to try some! Also you get what you pay for... Mavrik, elieko, uesaka will last 20+ years in a commercial/university setting.
Steve you mentioned the room at work. the pictures are old (we now have mostly mavrik bumps, a large tumbling mat, & 40+ KB's) but you can get the jist of it here http://www.athletics.ucr.edu/strengt...ning/index.htm
for some reason i think the site is down. you may have to view it tomarrow

Oh and the 25k plates & 20k plates are Ivanko. I found those at a used sporting goods store for a ridiculas low price(almost felt like stealing) I'm not sure how they will hold up with just me & my girlfriend using them, but i know ivanko's break super fast in a university setting. They are junk but will due for now.
