thanks! Do you have any experience with first place kettlebells? I'm thinking about making the same order you did. That's a fantastic price for kettlebells.

You'll have to let us know how they are.

Thanks for the link. I just ordered a 24kg. $64 with shipping. Thats the best price I've seen by far but I hope its not a case of 'get what you pay for'. I'll give a review of it after I throw it around some.

I think the main thing that makes these cheaper than other kettlebells is the shipping! I wish all places would ship for $10. Besides, it's a ball of iron - how much could quality vary? I dunno, maybe I'd be surprised.

Aaron,

I don't own a kettlebell, yet :-), but from the looks of them, they are made from cast iron (molten iron is poured into a mold of the desired shape and then allowed to solidify).

The quality of castings can vary greatly.

And I'll stop there, so you can enjoy your new kettlebell.

I'm thinking about buying two of these, but I'm wondering what they compare to. I currently have kettlebells from Dragon Door, K2, Powermax and I've ordered some from Kettlebell Concepts on someone's recommendation from this site. I don't know, w/ the sale and the cheap shipping it might be worth a gamble.

I placed an order for a 24kg. and the confirmation had the KB + shipping at $64. Then I get an email from them saying that shipping for this item is actually $41 bringing the total up to $96 and do I still want to order it. I'm thinking it over but thats not much of a 'sale'.

It says underneath the kettlebells that shipping will be calculated by performbetter.com within and day and you will be e-mailed the shipping cost. So I guess you shouldn't go by the checkout price.

Rob-

I just priced out the shipping on our 24KG bell going to a CA zip (with the crossfit discount). The price on the bell is the same and the freight would have only cost you $30.

Feel free to give me a call anytime if I can help you. The toll free at Gill is 800-637-3090

I apologize in advance, not trying to hijack the thread.
Karl,
I'm currently deployed, and phones aren't a viable option for me. I'm crunching numbers for a home gym when I get back. Can you drop me an e-mail?
