Steph's workout log

I've taken "Soccer moms" advice and started a log. I've been training with a crossfit PT for about 2 months. Started out 3 days a week but that just wasn't enough so Im 5 days a week now. Im totally addicted!!!! My goals are to get stronger, leaner and healthier and I know crossfits the way. Plus it's so damn fun! I'm hoping by posting that I'll get some awesome feedback, advice and encouragement.

Worked on power clean form and Sundays WOD

Ran 4 miles in 30min

My goal is to one day do TODAY's WOD!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to mention Im doing the burpee challenge on my sixth day...21 burpees. Hate burpees so much thought why not just do them everyday. What was I thinking?!?!

I find it very hard to take a REST DAY!

Wednesday, 12 November 2008

This morning worked on technique of OH squats, power cleans, inverted burpees and kipping pull ups. Also did tabatas on the treadmill @ 15% incline and 5 mph 8x.

This evening ran another 2 miles and tabata inclines. Still need to do an ab workout tonight, but was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas? Oh and must not forget the 7 burpees!

For some reason today was hard for me. I was having an off day to say the least. Lethargic and light headed not sure whats upVery disappointing! First time since I started (2 months ago) that I've had a day like this. But sucking it up and moving on!

Day 8 of the Burpee Challenge
50 situps and 3 sets of planks
500m row... 1:58

5 rounds

10 KB swings 20#
5 ball slams 12#
10 back extensions
5 wall shots 16#

Worked on DB snatches, DB C&J and DB split C&J

That's the spirit don't let yourself be knocked down, I mean we all have rough days, I've had a rough week but I know if I don't move on the only person i hurt is myself.

I love early morning WO's ... It helps me get going, I tend to eat healthier and if I make it back to the gym its just a bonus! I feel better than I did last night. And Anthony's right if I don't keep going I'm only hurting myself.

Day 9 of the burpee challenge
Warmup
Jump rope 3mins
9 burpees

100 squats
5 push ups
5 glute ham situps
75 squats
10 push ups
10 glute ham situps
50 squats
15 push ups
15 glute ham situps
25 squats
20 push ups
20 glute ham situps

This was about a 20 min WO all together so I'm sure I'll be back in the gym later this afternoon. I would love for anyone to give some ideas on treadmill workouts. "Just running" doesn't work for me now. If I can't wring sweat out of my t-shirt I don't feel I did myself any good.

Monday 17 Novemeber 2008

Day 12 of the burpee challenge! You know as much as I HATE burpees I don't seem to dread them as much and my form is getting better!

3 sets of 30 sec planks

Helen
3 rds for time
400m run
21 KB swings 35#
12 assisted pull ups (green band)
TIME 13:30


Tomorrow I'm starting the CF endurance!
