Harley's Log

I have been putting off starting this log for awhile. Personally I have felt like I wasn't up to crossfit standards with my workouts and embarrassed to post weak numbers. Well that was yesterday and today I realize that I am not going to get any better without better tracking techniques. So 3...2...1...go.

First off a little about me. My stats are as follows: 26/M/5'10/205lbs/19%BF
I am currently deployed to Iraq and have been crossfitting off and on for two years. I am a Paleo person and just started an AD period yesterday so I will log that too! My goal is simply to be the best crossfitter that I can be. Everything else is a supporting task to that goal.

I try to work out twice a day on a 3:1 schedule. WOD around 05:00, and a strength based program (CFSBish) around 11:00. Oh, and due to the time change over here I stay one day behind the posted WOD so I can do it early in the morning.

Finally I have to send props out to everyone I have talked to or will talk to on the boards. The experience and support here is second to none and I feel it truly adds a special dynamic to the crossfit experience.

I didn't feel smoked or weak after these today. I am just cautious of a existing lumbar issue that I do not want to press at this time. I should be able to see these numbers jump next time.

28 minutes Not as RX'd this morning I am still getting my kip down and I wasn't able to knock out 100 deadhangs so the PUs slowed me down. Certainly something I will work on.

041100MAR2009 Upperbody strength training


Diet 3001 calories today 49F/46P/5C Day three of AD indoc period. Not a horrible day, but felt the effects of only getting about 2400 cals yesterday.

Did you go straight through all 5 rounds? Holy heck!

DTG still confuses the heck out of me....we do things a little different, but I've been learning this Army stuff.

Do I get two guesses? My first one is 1124 zulu time on th 14th of Jan 2009. My other guess would be on 1411 zulu time on the 24th of Jan 2009? Am I hot, cold?

050500MAR2009 Rest day!!!!

Much needed as well. Hamstrings are tight from SLDLs. I am pumped for clean and jerks tomorrow. Should be a solid crossfit day

Diet Around 3000 cals today again. My usual 50F/45P/5C split. I had a bowl of ice cream today though. Not AD friendly but it still put me under 30 grams of carbs today.

Option B is correct. To easy actually, because once you get into April it would actually look like

1411105 APR 09

Julian calendar, I guess it's called.

I took two rest days, one scheduled and one not so scheduled but I felt like crap.....no excuses! I'll be going in about 5 hours to the gym.
