Re: Glutamine/BCAA supplementation??

In my experience bcaas pre/peri help a LOT with recovery. Dunno about the glutamine, and the artificial sweetener.

Yep.

If you want to gain mass you might as well just use whey though. It has lots of BCAAs in it anyway + leucine and glutamine too.

ya, but I dont really want to be taking whey because of the fact it is "derived from dairy and lecithin (to improve mixability) derived from soybeans." what do you think?? Is I crazy??

Re: Glutamine/BCAA supplementation??

and im not sure, but I probably dont really NEED the extra protein, due to the fact that I eat like a bear.... but after recently starting CF Football I do have some muscle soreness, is this simply because im not used to all the heavy lifting or do I need more protein??

Muscle soreness isn't about protein intake so much as overall recovery. Rest, stretching, and hydration will all help. So will getting used to the workload.

Re: Glutamine/BCAA supplementation??

I try to keep as much real food around as I can. Being deployed really kicks that one in the butt. Whey is the quickest way for me to get some solid pro right after working out. If they have chicken breast for dinner. I will grab some to go. That is the only thing that will really keep over a few hours. It all depends.

I try to keep whey to a small amount of my diet. But if you are trying to gain you could just use some real full cream milk. Play around and see what works.

You can get the isolate like BCAAs are isolate.

Basically, no milk or soy traces.

"You can get the isolate like BCAAs are isolate.

-by this do you mean that you can actually purchase a "whey isolate"??
(sorry if that is a stupid question)
