A Letter to New CrossFitters: Three important training habits for beginners

Hi all

David from CrossFit South Brooklyn here again. I've got a post up on Inside the Affiliate which many of you new CrossFitters might consider worth checking out. While simple, it explains a short essay we give to all our new members about three basic training habits that can help set them up for life long success in their training. Many of you guys are already doing some of these things, but then again perhaps some of you are not. If you like what you read, please share it with your fellow CrossFitters and box owners. Thanks!!

Thank you so much for sharing this. Every point is spot on. As a newbie to Crossfit (2 months) I am so glad that I received great training on each area that you touched on. Oh and the addiction to Crossfit started on day 1!

Re: A Letter to New CrossFitters: Three important training habits for beginners

This is a great article David. I also really appreciate the Failing, Bailing and Training Culture piece (WFS)
I'm a Crossfit noob, and I never learned how to properly bail from a heavy back squat and the only time I've ever hurt myself so badly I had to miss workouts was a sketchy bail on a bad squat. Wish I had known what to do before I got in a bind.

Keep up the good work!

-Bill

Third point is spot to the target, even after training for months some of us don't understand and try to go beyond our limit which does is only harm to our body.
