After reading some of the Crossfit Journals, it seems that Crossfit endorses the Zone diet. Are there any modifications to the Zone that the CF community follows that I should know about? Thanks.

Yes, once you have dialed in your blocks and get down to or below 10% body-fat, you will start to increase your fat blocks. There are many people on these boards who are on X-protein, X-carbs and 5X-fat once they get it dialed to the point that they can maintain body-weight and performance. I personally am doing well on 19 blocks with 3-4X fat.

I'm a 15 blocker although I find it hard to fit in that much food in a day. 3 meals and a snack is usually what I end up with. I supplement with fish oil in addition to the rx'ed fat blocks and try and stick to "paleo" food choices.

Thanks for the answers. I just want to make sure I understand the fat block increase that Jesse talked about. So, when the time comes to increase fat are you multiplying the blocks? For instance, if I start out eating 4 blocks of fat a meal, 5X would be 20 blocks of fat a meal? Thanks.

I have the same question reference fat increase. You are multiplying the increase by the fat blocks per meal?

Yep. But you wouldn't jump straight from x fat to 5x fat. When you are super lean and working out hard and starting to feel like you're not recovering so well, are unduly grumpy (or emotional) all the time, your perfromance takes a bit of a dip, etc., try gradually increasing your fat intake. Tweak it and observe the results until you've got it dialed in for you personally.
